Super Besties…..The Beginning….

I am pretty sure you have all been wondering how Captain Hysterical and the Super Besties came to be. Well, sit a spell and I will tell you….

Many moons ago, long before I earned my stripes as a Captain, I was merely Hysterical.  I would wander aimlessly thru the Halls of Obscurity, hoping for someone to come along and enjoy my take on this hilarity called life. And then she arrived – Crafty.  I was awestruck by her craftiness, as she was crafty in every sense of the word.  She made me feel as if my hystericalness was normal (when in fact, we would learn years later, it was a sign of caffeine deficiency; who knew?)

Crafty and I would embark on a whirlwind tour of life, slaying villains and taking care of injured souls along the way.  She and I had the unfortunate realization that there were sometimes casualties of our Hysterical Craftiness, but alas we weathered the storm and continued on our mission to save the world from itself.  As you can see, we have tons of work still left to do.

Fast forward to me becoming a lieutenant; I happened upon a kindred spirit named Random.  She was an amazing free spirit who was a bit unprepared for my hystericalness.  Alas, I won her over with my charm and wit and she then lured me into her world and showed me the goodness in being random.  We were a match made in hilarity.

At some point in between, during and after meeting Crafty and Random, I met Natural.  Ah, Natural, such the calming spirit.  She was not aware, as of yet, of my mental relations with Crafty and Random, however she would soon come to know us well.  Natural was the calmest of all, laying low in the cut, watching and waiting for the next hysterically random and crafty act to happen.  She did not judge us and for that we are grateful; because had she, we would have all been committed by now. J

As we all became Captain’s, life was moving along at its own pace, try as we might to rush it along.  We did not know what was coming next at us, but please believe we were thoroughly prepared for whatever it was.  We were all kindred spirits, destined to be forever ingrained in the gray matter under our hair.  But as prepared as we were, life had its own way ok spicing things up; little did we know that a part of Crafty’s past was lurking in the shadows, awaiting her moment to pounce, and join our ridiculous band of nonsense.

Techie.  Her name alone invokes thoughts of nerds and pocket protectors; servers and BES’s, glasses and khaki pants. Well, aside from the glasses, this couldn’t be further from the truth. You see Techie is spit-fire, a glitch in the Matrix, if you will.  She is armed with knowledge and a jump drive and never afraid to use either.  While we Captain’s all thought we had it together, Techie showed us that there was still much to learn, and with that earned her stripes.

And now here we are in 2010, The Super Besties – Captain Hysterical, Captain Crafty, Captain Random, Captain Natural and Captain Techie – prepared to handle whatever comes our way, together.
