4 consonants. 2 vowels.
Somehow, these letters, in this order, are either extremely difficult to read or difficult to say. I do not understand it.
In all the years I have been on this Earth (the number does not matter lol) I have ALWAYS had issues with people saying my name correctly. It’s bad enough that upon simply reading my name they think I am a boy, but then to butcher it by either adding or removing letters is extremely annoying. Granted, there are a few common and uncommon ways you can spell it, but it all sounds the same.
I honestly do not understand why it is so hard for people to say MY name. My mother and grandmother gave me this name, not any of the ones people say.
My name is Sidney.
Not Cindy, Sandy, Stacey, Cynthi, or Cynthia.
Simply, Sidney.
I I know I am not alone. I have TONS of friends who go through this very thing everyday.
How about you? Do people mess up your name, even though it’s not a hard name? Tell me about it, we can form a club.
