Have you ever been out with your children and hoped, prayed, wished they would let you get things done allowed them to utilize some of your finer gadgetry? Well, it has happened to me a few times, with my 5 year old twins.
I have often hoped for something that would keep them busy at the doctor’s office, car wash, oil express, etc. so that I could have a quiet moment to myself handle my business. Keeping two 5 year olds occupied in a non-kid friendly public setting is a challenge in itself, especially as they are continuing to learn and asking tons of questions.
Into my life waltzes PicPocket Books. This app works wonderfully on the hubby’s iPod Touch and made my twins super happy. Their favorite story is “A is for Andrew” and have requested it on a regular basis. They are learning to read and this is helping them identify words while keeping them quiet. My oldest son let them borrow his iHome so that they don’t need headphones and it has done well as a bedtime story reader.
Here are some screen shots:
So if your children are trying to be as gadgety as you and you need a few quiet minutes to yourself, you should definitely check this app out.
So with that in mind…..
PicPocket Books is is offering to one lucky reader a choice of three apps! You can choose from their book collection or KidsMathFun math practice apps.
All you have to do is tell us how this would make you and your little ones life a wee bit easier.
The winner will be chosen on Saturday, August 7th. Good luck and happy reading!
Hi. Just stumbled upon your blog through MBC. I wanted to tell you that you're very amusing. 🙂 I got quite a few chuckles from reading through some of your front-page posts. I'd never even heard/though of quadra-boobs. It was quite interesting to learn of. Lol.
This would come in TREMENDOUSLY handy at church and the double cart at Sams Club! Carting 10 books for my two little ones to read and trade (and wave in the air and drop on the floor) is quite a daunting task. I'd love to carry them all in one gadget!
Who says it is just for little kids I bet it would work on my teens! LOVE IT!
