Back in 2012, Junior, who was then called Senior, left us to head to college.

We drove him and his stuff to St. John’s University in Queens, NY. It was a loooooooooooong road trip but we all survived, though I am not sure how.
Two years we went with only 4 people in the house. Two years!!!

We were moving along nicely and Junior, well he was learning all about being a grown-up – paying bills and buying his own groceries and such. It was a glorious time and we were all better for it. We all grew and matured and loved our time apart.
Time passed and it came to pass that St. John’s was no longer where Junior needed to be. He needed to come home.
Yup, home. You know that place that had managed to get a routine going since there were only four of us. Yea, that place. My 20 year old son was planning to move back home while he transitioned to a new school and field of study. And my house. And into my office.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The Clones LOVE having him back home. My grocery budget does not. Neither does my wallet. But I digress….

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my boys…..all of them…..but I wasn’t ready for him to come home and live…again lol. But sometimes it is necessary to make a pit stop at moms on your way to your life. I am blessed that we have a relationship that allowed for it to happen. And that we had the space for it to happen.
But seriously, will I EVER get my office back…..
