Day 3 – Silence
The Clones spent the weekend with their MiMi. They had not been home since Friday evening. The silence in my home was so amazing. I can’t remember the last time our house was this quiet. It was quite a change to the normal deafening sounds of a house with two 8 year olds in it.
The silence allowed me and Mr. Incredible to simply rest. Listen to the sounds of the house. Listen to the sounds of his breathing. Listen to the cat, Snarf, chase the invisible through the house. The silence let us listen. We never seem to have enough time to just listen lately, so this was a real treat.
Today I am grateful for the gift of hearing which allowed me to enjoy the magnified sound of silence.
(And now it’s gone, because the Clones are back home. Yes, I am totally grateful for silence. 🙂 )

For the month of November as we begin to focus on the Thanksgiving Holiday, I am using this time to refocus my gratefulness for the good, bad & indifferent in my life. For the next 30 days, I am going to post one thing that I am grateful for as a guide to keep seeing the silver linking in all that life has to offer. I encourage you to join me on this journey. It does not have to be anything elaborate and fancy. It can be a simple sentence or a paragraph. The sole purpose of this journey is to redirect any negative energy that may be trying to change your life.
